In the year 2007 he was awarded shields from Pakistan HVACR Society, ASHRAE Pakistan Chapter and Institution of Engineers, Pakistan for his dedicated services to the engineering sector in Pakistan.
 
In the year 2010, he was awarded shields from Pakistan HVACR Society and Institution of Electrical & Electronics Engineers, Pakistan (IEEEP) Karachi Centre for his dedicated services.
 
He was also awarded Brand Scientist Medal in the year 2010 from the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani. He was also given certificate as “The Best Brand Guardian”. EIR has also received Best Brand of the Year Awards twice in the year 2008 and 2009 from the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
 
He has received Merit Export Award 2009 at the 33rd FPCCI Export Awards in the category of “Press & Publications of Pakistan” from the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
 
He has also received Merit Export Award 2010 at the 34th FPCCI Export Awards in the category of “Press & Publications of Pakistan” from the President of Pakistan, Mr. Asif Ali Zardari.

Dr. Aftab Ahmed Iraqui is known as one of the most determined and committed person with positive thoughts. He is completely a self made person. He has been attached in the engineering journalism atmosphere since 10th June 1976. (More than 35 years). He has been very much instrumental for the advancement of engineering & technology in Pakistan.




 

About Chief Operating Officer



Engr. Yaser Aftab was born on 11th August 1983, he is the Chief Operating Officer of Engineering & Industrial Review (EIR), he is the son of Dr. Aftab Ahmed Iraqui the Chief Editor & CEO of Engineering & Industrial Review (EIR). The idea of the website www.eironline.com and its design was conceived by him.

He has passed his Software Engineering Examination with Distinction from Trinity College, New York, USA. He also posses Bachelors Degree from University of Karachi. He has also completed Professional Accountancy Certificate Course from Skill Development Council.

He is a member of Pakistan Bangladesh Business Council of FPCCI and he is also a member of Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry. He started his career with Engineering & Industrial Review (EIR) from 1st September 2001.

He has received Best Engineering Magazine Award by Pakistan HVACR Society on 21st March 2010 by the chief guest at the ceremony Mr. Arif Alauddin, CEO, Alternate Energy Development Board (AEDB) on occasion of 17th HVACR Expo & Conference 2010 in Karachi.
 
He has also received Best Engineering Magazine Award on 7th May 2010 by the chief guest Prime Minister of Pakistan, Makhdoom Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani on the occasion of Brands Award Ceremony 2009 in Governor House, Karachi.
